Author: Kawakami Ryou
Category: Drama, Horror, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Seinen
Summary: One night, senior high school second-year Nishina Airi is abducted. When she wakes, she is trapped in an uncanny, isolated space with other students from her high school and forced to take part in the “Werewolf Game”. Thus, a death game filled with fear and terror that would pit “Werewolves” and “Villagers” against each other, force them to murder – a game with rules so absolute, defiance is punished by gruesome death – begins.
Hunmm okay, so a new manga with not so many chapters. It’s not like there’s much to say but I still want to write this post as an introduction for Jinrou game. Reading the description we all know that the manga is basically gruesome Werewolf Game in that killing means actual murder and of course, there will be a lot of blood. The theme is not that unique, and since the concept is used up in so many other mangas like Rabbit doubt, Judge…This one has to be so well-developed to be able to stand out from the crowd, which is not the case here. We still have this stupid main character, the loud mouth, the ‘seemingly heroic’ hero and so on. I mean everything is just so formulaic it bores you out. But the manga is drawn well, and we still can hope for more since only a few people are killed. However I still think this manga will end soon with this kind of theme or else it will be too dragging for the reader.
For psychological manga fans, you can try this one out but not after finishing one in the same genre or else it will be disappointing for sure.
Point: 6.5/10 – ok to kill time with
